Make the KPH an Asset of Community Value

The Issue

The Kensington Park Hotel (“KPH”), 139 Ladbroke Grove, London W10 6HJ is a vibrant and popular pub used by local residents and community groups. The KPH is under imminent threat by its new property development owners. Too many pubs are being lost to redevelopment proposals by developers who do not understand the very real value, social, economic and employment, that pubs bring to their local communities.

The KPH’s many loyal customers do not want to lose their 'local'. Please don't let it happen. Please support the nomination to have the property listed as an Asset of Community Value under the Localism Act 2011. ACV status can provide a means for planners to refuse consent for redevelopment and also means that the pub cannot be sold for alternative uses without the knowledge of the local community.

Show your support for this and future pub protection measures by supporting this petition.

Please add any additional reasons why you feel the KPH is important to the local community.

KPH UnitedPetition StarterKPH United is a community group formed by local residents of the Kensington Park Hotel pub at 139 Ladbroke Grove, London W10. A property development company has purchased the KPH freehold, will not renew the lease and are free to either demolish or change its use without planning permission. The KPH is important to our community. This campaign is collecting signatures on an online petition, paper petitions and sending letters to the Council. We are submitting an Asset of Community Value Nomination to the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to have the property listed on the Council register under the Localism Act 2011. We are also lobbying Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council to apply an Article 4 Direction withdrawing permitted development rights.
