Passed 100 signatures...now pass it on.

Dear fellow European citizens, you receive this mail since you signed my petition: "More Europe...but of a different kind". Since the petition was launched several important developments unfolded as you all know. In the meantime I had some interesting information to share with you. - Some people thought that I supported more power to the present EU: this is not what I meant ("...of a different kind"). This petition does not intend to support the present form of the EU, rather to bring in more changes to our present situation, a situation a chemist would probably define as a "unstable intermediate". But if the EU is not the right entity, the national states are even less so. Indeed they are the biggest adversaries to a progress in the process of European integration, as this fact would inevitable erode power out from them. So the debate is on on what should be the "entity" that could push ahead such a process. Your views and suggestions are appreciated ! - On average only 25% of those who read the petition signed it. It could be I was terrible in writing it but this could also mean that this issue is (or "was", before Brexit) still seen as irrelevant or not urgent by many people. Consider the mail was mostly sent to people engaged in research and/or academia ! Thus it is very important to speak about it, bring it to the people, share with others, discuss it. - Finally, distribute the link to the petition to all your contacts; in this way you can help Europe to become less fragile.
