Mini Holland to remove the copse of trees that stand on Whipps Cross Roundabout

The Issue

PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE

As the final part of the Mini Holland project approaches the news is that the council want to remove the copse of mature trees that stand on the Whipps Cross Roundabout to construct a cycle friendly T junction controlled by traffic signals. Councillor Loakes is of the opinion that the trees can be “transplanted” to another part of the forest. That may be possible for the stand alone wild apple trees but not a mature copse of trees over 60 feet tall. He should be reminded that it is the trees that help to clean the air we breathe.  A cheaper alternative could easily be achieved and still provide safer cycle ways through this busy junction. Please sign, share the petition and email the council to try to prevent irreparable damage being done to our Forest and environment.
