Mandatory Death Penalty For Corruption and Other Financial Crimes

The Issue

Hello, greetings to everyone and have a good time in doing your best job.

I appreciate how you combat corruption and bribery cases, and I appreciate how good and stringent you have done on controlling them, but I have some hopes we needed for you to improve quality in combating financial crimes.

I personally and wholeheartedly want mandatory capital punishment for financial crimes, like hanging corrupt officers or money launderers to death under gallows. I find death penalty on corruption having more benefits than imprisonment, as death penalty cuts down a corruption practicer's lives and can serve as a better deterrent in financial crimes, something imprisonment won't offer. And imprisoning a corruption practitioner would leave higher risks of them continuing such crimes and thus leaving long-term loss in economy. Hanging a corruption practitioner to death allows the slowdown in economic plummeting and effectively stopping them. It's absolutely not fair to use imprisonment on these economic crimes, and as such, I find capital, lethal punishment the only viable deterrent for corruption practices and money-laundering cases. And it's more disproportionate to have imprisonment for economic crimes than using mandatory death penalty to combat corruption.

Plus, corruption practices and other financial crimes should always deserved capital, lethal punishment. And I am always opposed imprisonment for those, favouring mandatory lethal punishment for the bribery and financial cheating in which corruption practitioners die fatally under gallows or any other kind of punishment that can cause deaths.

Capital punishment for corruption practices, money laundering and other kinds of economic crimes can serve as a deterrent to everyone, and can have long-term benefits to the global development.

I hope you can consider my letter on mandatory death sentence for corruption, bribery, money laundering and other financial crimes, to improve your quality on protecting your nations from those crimes.

Why corrupt officials deserve being hanged instead of being jailed?

Corruption is the root cause of all crimes in a single country and is actually a lethal crime that has taken lives of everyone, via bribery, embezzlement, and other financial crimes. It has destroyed everyone's lives and caused various crimes to rise. Imprisonment won't serve as a deterrent to corruption, given its root-cause nature.

Why imprisonment won't serve as deterrent for financial crimes?

Imprisonment is completely impractical on these types of financial crimes and cannot be used to combat corrupt practices. If you imprison a corrupt official, or a corrupt businessman, things go down and they will continue their crime carrer as they wish. Sentencing a officer or businessman to death for corruption and bribery and embezzlement however should stop severe bleeding in the national economy and society.

In short, corruption and bribery and embezzlement NEVER deserve imprisonment. Death penalty is the only answer to financial crimes.

Countries that practiced death penalty for corrupt officials.

China, Vietnam and Iran are three notable nations for executing corrupt officials to death by firing the corrupt officials with firearms/lethal injection or (in latter) sending businessmen to gallows. There are also several countries that practiced death penalty for financial crimes before abolition/moratium of the death penalty system, such as Russia (even after the fall of Soviet) and Philippines.

Singapore currently doesn't have death sentence for corruption, but they have imprisonment and fines, which are NEVER SUITED for corruption. They need to implement death penalty and replace imprisonment to combat financial crimes.

Conclusions

Corruption, although unknown in Singapore, is a lethal and disastrous financial crime that destroyed everyone's lives, and actually, have claimed lives of some throughout bribes, money-laundering and embezzlement. Imprisonment never work on these types of financial crimes and should they, they have negative effects. Death penalty is the only deterrent for financial crimes, but Singapore should never waste it. If you don't sentence corruption practitioners to death, you have wasted your death penalty usage.

Hope CPIB relearn this and reconsider implementing death sentence for these financial crimes.
