Bys Vyken Events held their final endurance running meeting at United Downs, across last weekend.

To cater to all abilities, three different timed challenges were scheduled for 25, 13 and 7 hours each. The extra hour was due to the clocks going back.

Organiser, David William Jnr, said "We organised this event to gain more publicity to sign the petition to help save the Raceway, and promote the Raceway as the perfect community hub for local projects and local people."

"To be honest, I still can't believe it's closing. Hopefully the Council will be able to find a way for it to continue. Fingers crossed."
