Former Renault Formula 1 racing driver, and current Vice President of BRDC Derek Warwick, has renewed his call to 'Save United Downs Raceway'.

Warwick, whose distinguished career includes 11 seasons and 147 starts in Formula One, wins in the Le Mans 24 Hours and the World Sportscar Championship, and three seasons in the British Touring Car Championship, started his illustrious career racing the oval tracks in the F2 Superstox where he became World Champion.

"It's essential these oval tracks are saved for future generations to learn their motor craft."

"So many of our champions over the years have started on the ovals across the country, myself included."
