We are extremely pleased to confirm that the application to develop United Downs Raceway, did not appear on the Agenda of today's West Sub Area planning meeting.

In addition, on Friday afternoon, to ensure a 'belt and braces' approach, we submitted our initial petition to Cornwall County Council, in line with the 'initial deadline for Standard Consultation' of 14th December for the planning application.

It was vitally important to make sure we had our submission included at this crucial stage to ensure our collective voices are heard.

After further clarification from the Case Officer, we can confirm that we can continue to collect signatures on our petition until there is confirmation of the application being presented to the Planning & Highways Committee.

We will know on 4th January whether this will appear on the Agenda at their meeting on 11th January.

So for now, we have three weeks to continue with the campaign to #SaveUnitedDownsRaceway.
