We still need your help PLEASE! On Monday night (10/8/15) we presented our case to the councillors at St. Agnes Parish Council. The developer’s planning consultant was present, as was our planning consultant. Each presented the ‘for’ and ‘against’ cases and our consultant has already put in a huge amount of time researching the background of the site, as well as citing planning policy to build our case. Following the presentations, the councillors voted UNANIMOUSLY AGAINST the development of this precious site. We are delighted with this support and outcome. HOWEVER… we’ve only overcome the first hurdle in this very long process. The next step is for Cornwall Council’s planning officer to make his determination based on the evidence presented and in line with National & Local Policy. But we fear that, even with a concerted set of objections across the board locally, the developer will fight on to appeal. To date we have 117 individual objections on the planning website, over 2500 signatories on the petition and, so far, £1219 donated by the both the local community and concerned individuals further afield, to pay for the services of our planning consultant This shows the strength of feeling about this area and we want to emphasise how grateful we are for your continued support! But we do need your help further. If you’ve not yet donated (and every pound will help, no donation is too small) please would you consider helping us? And if you have already, thank you again and please share our “Go Fund ME” page as, although we are nearly half way towards our target, we need to raise the full £2500 to make sure we have the best chance of fighting this greedy developer! http://www.gofundme.com/savestagnesbeacon Thank you in advance!
