Council officers shown to have earned more than £200,000pa

One Parish Councillor writes:

"Some very relevant information today, which goes some way in confirming the dinosaur that unitary has created for our county’s administration. While we see our beloved and unique county being slowly destroyed by employed CV enhancing civil servants, we must surely question if we are getting value for our money. In the opinion of many we have an untouchable leadership surrounded by a protective wall of over twenty highly paid directors. In my opinion, which I have taken the liberty to express, the present management and its policies are not fit for purpose. An example: closed public toilets and removed recycling bins from 65 towns and villages to cut costs, then it goes and spends £36 million on greenfield farming land for housing that Cornwall does not need. Logic where are you?"

Separately, and if you’re a Southwest Water rate payer, or drink the stuff, or swim in the discharge in one of our bays, rivers, harbours or beaches, then you may want to hear about the dire state of our collapsing sewerage infrastructure, here in Cornwall, as cases of Hepatitis E and other waterbourne infectious diseases hit UK-wide record levels; one resident in Hayle has old pipes running under her home, as does the whole street; her home is collapsing and now rendered valueless. Her problems are huge, but they may well be yours and your neighbours, as the creaking and ancient pipe network that SWW uses, comes under massive pressure form the relentless mass urbanisation of the Duchy, with little spent by the corporate fat cats to rectify the situation, sometimes in full knowledge of some councillors, like Hayle Cornwall Councillor, Graham Coad, who seems more interested in shutting up local residents, or even having the Council pay them hush money, than actually dealing with the root problems and main perpetrators: Cornwall Council and Southwest Water (Pennon).

"We want to introduce Mel to you all.

Mel lives in Hayle and has another Magistrates’ Court case vs CC on Wednesday (29th July) in Truro (next week).

You may have been at the last one. You may already know Mel.

This seemingly “benign” case between Mel and CC could be absolutely massive for Cornwall (residents, tax payers and water drinkers), and her 12-year battle with them and SWW, could, especially if the next stop is the High Court, be pivotal for the fight for justice, fairness and sustainable development in Cornwall, as well as exposing the corporate greed, lies, manipulation, bullying and corruption, all seemingly endemic at CC.

Her case is almost cast iron (no pun intended); for example, she has several dozen witnesses and over 500 photos, as well as letters galore proving the sinister behaviour by certain officers, councillors and senior SWW employees in their pursuit of destroying one town’s water infrastructure, along with the unfortunate homes in the way of their corporate plans.

Please could you offer Mel every assistance you can, be it in attending, sending her support and well wishes, or even if you have it, adding damning evidence of either CC/SWW collusion and malpractice anywhere around Cornwall, to her already massive library of evidence against these, quite frankly, utter contemptible “citizens” and effectively corporate prostitutes."
