A new town of 5,000 homes on Truro's southern green belt?

Letter from senior councillor last week:
"I despair at what is happening … I learned yesterday that Tolgarrick (top of Arch Hill) has submitted a further planning application for houses reaching down the valley to Nansavallon. I have not yet seen the plans but there is a special pre planning meeting at County Hall for the Parish Council and others, on 3rd October, at Truro City Council. The (new) Truro Football Club are presenting their plans once again…. and so it goes on and on…. meanwhile, as you state, our infrastructure is collapsing around us.
The decision as to whether or not CC is to buy Langarth land is NOT BEING MADE UNTIL THE FEBRUARY MEETING OF THE CORNWALL COUNCIL, according to Mr. Own (lead officer) when asked at the Community Network meeting last Tuesday.
And at the next Community network meeting, SWW are to tell us their plans!!"
Meanwhile, on the beautiful Tregurra Valley-turned car park (by Mason and Mike Varney), even their own figures admit to just over half of the spaces being used, despite the monstrous traffic jams. That was certainly worth sacrificing a beautiful and pristine Truro green belt for. Thanks Prince Charles, but you may recall that nobody in Truro wanted this, except Mason and Cormac, with their £6m overspend of tax payers' money...
