The Issue

Convocation is not a privilege for a few rank holders, it is the right of every student who has worked hard, sacrificed, and completed their degree at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

We, the students of JAIN ( Deemed-to-be University), are deeply disappointed and hurt by the administration’s decision to restrict convocation to rank holders alone. This decision is not only unfair but also disrespectful to the journeys of thousands of students who have given their sweat, sleepless nights, and lakhs in fees to earn this degree.

Convocation is a once-in-a-lifetime moment — a dream for students, a proud day for parents, and a symbol of years of sacrifice. To deny this moment to the majority of graduates is cruel, unjust, and against the very spirit of education and inclusivity.

We are not asking for luxury, we are asking for fairness.

Every graduate, regardless of rank, deserves the honor of walking the stage.

Every parent deserves the pride of seeing their child in convocation robes.

Every student deserves recognition for their unique contributions, be it academics, research, extracurriculars, or leadership.

We urge Dr. Chenraj Roychand and the administration of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) to immediately reconsider this decision. Let convocation be what it truly stands for: a celebration of all students, not just a select few.

We stand united in this demand for justice. Please sign and support this petition so that no student’s years of effort and sacrifice are disregarded on what should be the proudest day of our lives.
