Wow, it's already been five whole years since Disney closed Blue Sky Studios on April 7, 2021. I still remember hearing the news and just thinking... damn, really?
That studio gave us so much. The Ice Age crew — Manny, Sid, Diego, and of course Scrat chasing that damn acorn. Rio with all its color and music. Robots, Peanuts... they just had this fun, warm style that stuck with you.
Hundreds of artists lost their jobs, and we never got the Rio 3 or the next Ice Age movie from the original team. It felt like they just tossed away all that talent and creativity after buying Fox.
I'm not over it. A lot of us aren't. Blue Sky made movies that actually felt alive, and I still believe Disney could bring the studio back and let them cook again.

Thanks for sticking with this, Dylan
