Continue to Allow the 78th Frasers Youth Squad to Use The Military Museums Facilities

The Issue

Since we initiated the program 45 years ago, we have witnessed the results of hundreds of young boys and girls who have graduated through this wonderful program - become successful, exemplary citizens who contribute to the vitality and wellbeing of our communities.

The TMM has been our cherished home for the past 29 years.  We are required to 'petition' the DND to allow us to continue to use the facilities.

We urge the Board Members of The Military Museums and the Department of National Defence to allow this 'free' citizenship program - through the creation of a Logistic Support Agreement - to enable us to continue to use facilities within the museum as a place to practice and deliver a program that a teaches discipline, self worth and leadership. A program which instills 'core skills' to youth for the betterment themselves and society - through training based on history, music, and culture.

The Frasers are a living page of Canadian history, wearing period uniforms from the 18th century, playing the pipes and drums, firing 'Black Powder' muskets, highland dancing - and are taught leadership training. They are clearly not just another pipe band!!!

Please sign this petition to support the Frasers develop into the leaders of tomorrow!
