Continue Investigation on Mysterious Death of Mathew McGrath

Continue Investigation on Mysterious Death of Mathew McGrath
The Issue
This petition is directed towards and is a request for local law enforcement and for the Ontario Crown Attorney’s Office to continue their investigation into the mysterious death of Mathew McGrath and, especially, to communicate findings that they can share with family.
My name is Melissa and I am Mathew’s sister. I do not believe, knowing my brother and understanding the facts of his case, that he committed suicide. I have been investigating and researching on my own since my brother's disappearance. The local law enforcement agency is no longer sharing information with me or my family even though I have sent them many credible leads. I feel that this is highly questionable given that many of those leads are suspicious in nature and strongly suggestive that a crime may have been perpetrated against my brother and that, potentially, others might be implicated in this case and/or other crimes.
The facts are as follows. On January 18, 2024, my brother Mathew was last seen leaving his apartment on Grant Street in Carleton Place, Ontario. He was walking towards Coleman Street. He then disappeared without a trace.
On Sunday, May 12, 2024, his dead body was found floating in the Mississippi River near Oakland Crescent, between Carleton Place and Appleton with a significant amount of money on his person. His death was ruled "indeterminate" by the Coroner and, as far as the local law enforcement believes, the matter is closed. Closed without providing any feedback on a significant amount of information that has been provided to them that may point to a different outcome in the investigation.
The details surrounding his disappearance and death, are highly suspicious given the facts and other information that has surfaced since his disappearance.
IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT THE ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE AT 1.888.310.1122 REFERENCING CASE NO. E240078384. YOU CAN ALSO REACH OUT THROUGH FACEBOOK MESSENGER VIA THE “BRING MATHEW HOME” HOME PAGE.
Please sign and support this petition for our local law enforcement and the Ontario Crown Attorney's Office to take Mathew's case more seriously and investigate all of the information that has been provided to them by family, friends, and myself through our collaborative efforts. We want to work together to find out how Mathew McGrath died so that his life and memory can finally be put to rest.
