✝️ Petition: Stand Against Blasphemy in Media – Defend the Name of Jesus Christ

The name of Jesus Christ is being blasphemed across media without consequence. It’s time for believers to stand up and demand accountability.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” — Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

📍 Who Is Impacted?
Millions of Christians—families, churches, and young believers—are being exposed to media that desecrates what is sacred. Movies, TV shows, music videos, and digital platforms increasingly mock the name of Jesus Christ, twist Scripture, and portray Christianity as hateful, foolish, or dangerous. These portrayals are not harmless—they are spiritually corrosive. Many believers are left with no options to filter or avoid this content, while children and teens are desensitized to the holiness of God.

⚖️ What Is at Stake?
If this blasphemous trend continues, we risk raising a generation with no reverence for God. Sin will be normalized, righteousness will be ridiculed, and the lines between truth and mockery will continue to blur. However, if we act now, media platforms can be held to a basic standard of accountability. Just as filters exist for violence or adult content, we ask for tools that allow viewers to identify and avoid content that profanes Jesus Christ and misrepresents the Christian faith. This is not censorship—it’s discernment.

Why Is Now the Time to Act?
Blasphemy is no longer hidden; it is mainstream. Lyrics degrade the name of Christ. Films use His name as a curse word. Satirical sketches and streaming series ridicule the cross, the Bible, and those who believe. The longer we remain silent, the louder the mockery grows. We are called to “reprove the unfruitful works of darkness” (Ephesians 5:11) and “earnestly contend for the faith” (Jude 1:3). Now is the time. Every day of delay allows more spiritual damage, especially to young and impressionable hearts.

🎯 What We Are Asking:
We call on media companies, streaming services, content creators, and entertainment regulators to:

🚩 Clearly label or flag content that contains blasphemy against Jesus Christ or the Christian faith.
🔧 Provide tools for users to filter out or skip blasphemous scenes, similar to filters for language or violence.
🤝 Ensure balanced representation of Christianity by extending the same respect granted to other religions.
🛑 Cease normalizing blasphemy as humor, art, or satire—respecting the sacred beliefs of millions.

⚔️ Examples of the Problem:
Media has crossed the line from entertainment into spiritual warfare:

Using Jesus Christ’s name as a curse word
Depicting God or Christ in irreverent or mocking ways
Twisting Scripture for comedic or political agendas
Promoting anti-Christian sentiment as virtuous
This isn’t creativity—it’s an assault on the holy.

🤲 A Call to Christian Unity:
This is not just a petition—it is a declaration of love for the Savior. We, the body of Christ, come together to say: “Enough.” We demand the right to honor our God without being subjected to mockery when we open a streaming app or turn on a song. Let this petition be the voice of many who will no longer compromise or tolerate the blaspheming of the Most High.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)
“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” — Psalm 34:3 (KJV)

🙏 Closing Statement:
May the Lord stir the hearts of His people to rise in defense of truth. Let this be the generation that reveres His name and refuses to be entertained by its mockery. We are not ashamed of the Gospel, and we will not be silent while His name is blasphemed. Let this petition be a light in the darkness.
