I am one of many students at Fresno State who frequently struggle to find parking spaces on campus. This struggle often results in long walks to classes and tardiness. Our issue is not a unique one. Universities across the country see a similar problem, with only 60% of colleges having enough parking spaces available for students (Source: National Survey of Student Engagement, 2019). Fresno State's campus is hard hit, and the current parking structures and facilities just don't meet our needs. The expansion of the parking facilities, such as the addition of second floors to existing structures, could reduce these struggles significantly. We believe it is crucial for the college administration to prioritize student convenience and safety. Please take action today to alleviate our difficulties and stress.
