Connect Addicks and Barker: Support the Cullen Park Path

The Issue

The Cullen Park Path will provide a comfortable pedestrian and bicycle link from the George Bush Hike & Bike Trail south of the Katy Freeway to Cullen Park's trail connections.  Please sign here to show public support!

South of the Katy Freeway, there are over 28 miles of connected trails, running from Beltway 8 west to Mason Road.  To the north are 8 miles from Highway 6 to Greenhouse, with more connecting sidewalks being built: Precinct 4 is finishing a sidewalk along Saums that connects this to the West Park Preserve.

The Cullen Park Path will connect all of this together!

Segment 1 of the connection, along Barker Cypress, is already funded by a TXDOT Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant to the City of Houston with completion expected in 2026.

Segment 2, the final link, can be funded as part of the 2024 Harris County Precinct 4 "Places4People" (P4P) program. This application will be submitted on June 7th with an award decision anticipated in October 2024.

Significant public support is needed for projects to be funded.  Please sign this petition to demonstrate public support of the P4P application.
