Have you noticed how the word "trauma" has become one of the latest buzz-words that's used to explain anything and everything? They only define the T-word in general terms, which is a give-away that the trauma-informed movement is more about ideology than science.

So here's the latest: The Department of Justice Office of Victims of Crime is holding a series of webinars on "Becoming a Vacarious Trauma-Informed Organization." The theory is that if a service organization is helping trauma "victims" (another buzz-word), then everyone from the President to the housekeepers in the organization need to become trauma-informed. Sounds like a contagious disease, doesn't it?
