CTUIR Sovereign Immunity Abuses Tribal and federal law violations
The Issue
The problem is there is no unfettered access to judicially fit tribal court system to properly hear any case and come to a reasonable decisions based on all the evidence and testimony.
Article VIII of the 1855 Treaty does describe a federal agent to settle matters of indifferences between other Indians from other tribes and settlers and can compel the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation adhere to both criminal and civil laws and hold those accountable so it doesn’t happen again.
The CTUIR has had several Interim Executive Directors Eric Quaempts, Chuck Sams, Paul Rabb, to name a few and I contacted all of them and none of them but Chuck Sams got back to but nothing was done.
