Slashes to the university continue

Thank you all for your support on this issue.

Sadly, despite public and professional outcry, the University persisted with their closure of modern languages, and 8 out of the 9 members in the team have been made compulsorily redundant. The offering of Spanish, German, Italian, French, and Mandarin Chinese as part of degree modules will cease on the 30th of June 2024. 

A total of 220 staff across the organisation will lose their jobs as a part of the cuts required to survive management decisions.
