Savings made, but the threats to departments and jobs continue!

Thank you all for the support on this campaign so far.

The threat to modern languages at Lincoln is entangled with a larger web of financial challenges (and mismanagement, some would argue).  The staff have worked with management to find innovative cost saving measures, which alongside a voluntary severance scheme, are predicted to exceed the savings target given to staff at the start of the year.  However...the goal post has been moved by management, suddenly we need to save another £10million!  Management are now pushing ahead with more job cuts and refuse to rule out compulsory redundancies.
