Lunch line "incentive" suspended for remainder of school year
Dec 16, 2015 — We are pleased to inform concerned supporters that the Wilson Middle School Principal, Colleen Faucett, has decided to suspend the lunch line component of the incentive card program for the remainder of the school year to "reassess current procedures... to determine ways to improve our system."
The school administration's willingness to re-evaluate this injustice is commendable. The student body and community look forward to constructive dialogue resulting in rewards for academic achievement that motivate students to excel while respecting the integrity, privacy, and nutritional needs of all students.
We appreciate the courage of students, parents, and the community to demand change, the media to give them a voice, and the administration for listening.
"Tell me what is right and I will fight for it."
