Compel Engr. Francis Agoha, CEO IBEDC to restore power in Ijagun Road, Ijebu Ode

Compel Engr. Francis Agoha, CEO IBEDC to restore power in Ijagun Road, Ijebu Ode
The Issue
Four weeks have passed, and our community remains shrouded in darkness. For any responsible CEO of an electricity distribution company, this duration is more than sufficient to repair or replace vandalised equipment. Yet, the Ijebu Ode office of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) under Engr. Francis Agoha has neither restored power nor communicated a clear timeline for the resolution, leaving us in limbo.
I am one of thousands—families, businesses, students, the elderly, and children—who suffer each day without electricity or water in the bustling community of Ijagun Road, Ijebu Ode. Our patience and resilience are waning as we continue to endure these unacceptable living conditions. Without electricity, our daily lives become arduous; businesses crumple, students grapple with their studies, and the health of our elders and our children is compromised.
We beseech Engr. Francis Agoha of IBEDC Headquarters, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), the Ogun State Government, and all pertinent authorities to protect our rights and ensure justice is served. We demand the immediate repair or replacement of the vandalised transformer. We urge IBEDC to cease transferring their operational costs onto the already strained financial shoulders of Ijagun Road residents and to restore our electricity without delay.
Electricity is not merely a convenience; it is an essential right that enables dignity, progress, and quality of life. By ignoring our plight, IBEDC jeopardizes not only our immediate well-being but also our potential for growth and success.
We urge you to sign this petition. Stand with us in calling for prompt action from Engr. Francis Agoha to restore electricity, fairness, and dignity to the community of Ijagun Road. Together, we can compel him and others in power to do what is right and just.
This petition also calls on IBEDC Headquarters, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), the Ogun State Government, and all relevant authorities to immediately compel Engr. Francis Agoha to:
Replace or repair the vandalised transformer without further delay
Stop shifting their operational costs onto helpless residents
Restore electricity to Ijagun Road Community immediately
The people of Ijagun Road deserve light, dignity, and fair treatment — not exploitation.
Please sign and share widely.
Together, we can stop this injustice.
