Compel Doug Ducey to Call a Special Legislative Session for Election Integrity Law
The Issue
The Precinct Committeemen, State Committeemen, and Residents of Arizona, in the strongest manner possible, submit this petition to compel Governor Doug Ducey to call a special session of the Arizona State Legislature for the direct purpose of passing election integrity legislation.
The people of Arizona have been severely disenfranchised by the mishandling and malfeasance displayed in the 2020 and 2022 election cycles. During the 2020 election cycle, Arizona Courts extended the voter registration timelines, therefore bypassing the legislature, and creating a distinct registration advantage for one political party over another. During the 2022 election cycle, a high number of voting tabulation machines across the State of Arizona experienced a technical failure, causing individual voters to wait in lines for extended periods of time. Individuals who checked into voting centers, where machines went down, would leave to vote in a different location in good faith, only to be denied their vote. In the case of voting line extended waits, due to the error of state-owned machines, the courts refused to extend voting times for those people waiting in lines. This was in a direct reversal of the 2020 election courtesies. In maybe the most egregious, and potentially criminal act, the current Secretary of State, whose duty it is to oversee elections, refused to recuse herself from managing the election, to which she was running in for the Governorship.
If Governor Ducey fails to call a special session, and we fail to pass immediate and meaningful election integrity laws, Arizona voters will in droves be disenfranchised and potentially quit voting altogether. Arizona voters can have no faith that Governor-elect Katie Hobbs, who refused to recuse herself and stands accused of election malfeasance, would hear their redress of grievances. We must act now to ensure the residents of Arizona are protected in their right to retain a Republican form of government, as outlined in the United States Constitution. Sign our petition to save voting integrity in Arizona Elections.
