The issue
Like many others, I have experienced frequent disruptions in using Commonwealth bank's Netbank services, affecting my ability to make timely and necessary transactions. Every other day, the system is down, resulting in a frustrating experience and a lack of access to our money when we need it most.
A reliable banking service is not a luxury; it is a necessity. These on-going technical issues with the Commonwealth Bank's Netbank system represent not just a personal inconvenience but hinder the smooth conduct of personal and professional transactions for thousands, if not millions, of customers.
A 2020 survey by Roy Morgan revealed that around 73.8% of Australians use digital banking at least once a week, emphasizing the significant dependence customers have on these services. Yet, it seems Commonwealth bank has been unable to provide an efficient, fail-safe online banking system to its customers.
In light of these unprecedented reliance on digital services, it is unacceptable for Australia's largest bank to allow their systems to be down intermittently. This failure in service provision negatively impacts not only individual customer experience but also the bank's reputation.
