Mumbai the city of dreams is not just made of high buildings , but of people, prayers, compassion, and the countless lives that share this city with us. Among them are the pigeons gentle souls who have lived with us for centuries, becoming symbols of peace, faith, and humanity.

For many, feeding pigeons is not just a habit it is seva, an act of religion, a prayer in action. In Jainism, Hinduism, and even Sufi traditions, feeding birds is seen as service to God’s creation. To silence this act is to wound the spirit of compassion that makes Mumbai special.

Yes, health concerns must be respected, but the answer cannot be cruelty or bans. The answer must be balance regulated spaces, cleanliness, and compassion. Let us protect both human health and divine tradition.

I appeal to our leaders, and to every citizen of this city of dreams Let us not forget that Mumbai shines brightest when it leads with humanity, kindness, and faith.

Let pigeons continue to fly in our skies, reminding us daily that God’s love is for all beings.
