Dear all, Thank you again for your continued support, against the lobbies that try to muzzle the free information for informed citizen! The mobilization has taken an unprecedented scale thanks to you: there are dozens of articles that have been published about our petition and our determination. We really launched the debate on the danger of this Directive in a short time, but we need to keep pushing. Everything will be decided by the beginning of September, 2015. The amendments on the trade secrets directive that have been passed on June 16 could make some people think that we had been heard or that we could not do anything anymore because it is in this sense that the European Commission and some members have communicated. But this is wrong! Trade secrets principle, with a definition so vague and a scope so broad is to create a mass weapon against information and legalize censorship! It is more than ever time to mobilize around us to prevent this directive to be adopted. We will meet Constance Le Grip, rapporteur for the directive, Tuesday, June 30 to renew our concerns about the disastrous consequences of her text, even amended, for access to information, freedom of information and the actors of this Freedom (sources, whistleblowers, journalists).
