The Comox Valley Regional District, under Area B Director Arzeena Hamir, has made the decision to discontinue the Beach Fire Ring program at Goose Spit, a much enjoyed and used activity for Comox Valley residents. We would call on the CVRD to reexamine the program, and open them back up for the public to enjoy. This is an inexpensive and fun activity for families and friends that improves the enjoyment of our park areas.

We strongly encourage everyone who has amazing memories of sunset fires at the Spit to sign the petition and encourage the CVRD to reconsider their decision!

Once this petition gets some support, it will be taken to the next Regional District meeting so we can have our voices heard.
