We’re officially in motion.

Our referendum effort to challenge the Sunset Crossroads Mega-Warehouse Complex is underway, and now we’ve reached the most important phase: collecting wet signatures (i.e. handwritten).

To be clear, online signatures do not count for this process.
In order for your voice to be legally recognized, you must sign a physical petition.

What This Petition Does
Signing the referendum petition does not stop the project on its own.

What it does is initiate a legal process that gives our community a voice:

It allows the City the opportunity to reconsider and potentially rescind their approval, or
It places the decision in the hands of the voters through a public voteNo matter where you stand on this project, this is about something bigger:

Should the community have the opportunity to vote on it?

Who Can Sign
To sign the referendum petition, you must be a registered voter in the City of Banning.

If you are new to Banning or have recently moved within the city, you will need to update or re-register your voter information to ensure your signature is valid.

If you’re unsure about your registration status, we can help guide you through the process so your voice can be counted.

Our Goal
We are working to collect 2,500 valid signatures.
This is a critical step to ensure this process can move forward.

How You Can Take Action

  • Pledge to Sign the petition in person. Sign up here and we'll contact you.

We are actively working to expand signing opportunities throughout Banning so that everyone has access to participate.

Why This Matters
This is about protecting our community, our health, and the future of the San Gorgonio Pass—and ensuring that residents have a say in decisions that impact all of us.

We’re Counting on Community
This effort depends on all of us. Talk to your neighbors. Share this update. Stay connected.

We’re off to the races — and together, we can make this happen.
