Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition and contacted Council. As a result of this collective action, we have now seen tents beginning to leave Cascade Gardens.

Based on past experience, we expect tents will return. Councillor Taylor’s office has advised that residents should take action as soon as tents appear, to prevent the situation from escalating.

We will continue working together to protect the safety, wellbeing, and use of this shared public space.

Residents from other locations across the Gold Coast who are dealing with the same issue have reached out to us. Please continue to share this petition so more residents facing the same situation can come together, be heard, and take action.
