We were fortunate to be invited to submit a budget request to Senator Limon. Later this month, we will be meeting with the Senator to go over our request and make our appeal to be included in her budget for next year. If you’re unfamiliar, the Senator is very involved with a wide variety of community organizations, including donating $5M to the future aquatic center in Oxnard. It is our hope that she will be moved to include the future ice center in her planned donations for next year.

Naturally the Senator wants to support projects that have a strong possibility of success. You can help show her that the ice rink project has the support to succeed:

1.       Please ask your family and friends to write letters to the Senator. Send them to me at vcicesports@gmail.com and I will print the letters and hand-deliver them to her at the meeting.

2.       Please make a donation to the Ice Heroes Campaign and ask your family and friends to donate as well. Any donation of any size is important and gets us closer to the 1,000 donor goal. But, if you donate $100 or more, we will be pleased to honor you on our Ice Heroes Virtual Puck Wall of Fame.

Let's all dig a little deeper to re-build the ice rink in western Ventura County!
