No matter how many times I say "Thank You for Signing Our Petition," it doesn't convey how truly thankful and grateful I am for your support of our plans to Bring Back Our Ice. Many times I have been inspired and motivated to keep working just because of your signature on the petition.

If you can, please plan to attend the Oxnard Community Services Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 25th, at 6:45pm. Wear blue and stand with us to SPEAK UP FOR ICE!

If you cannot attend the meeting, please submit written comments in support of the ice rink in Oxnard. Submit an e-mail to cityclerk@oxnard.org no later than 3:00pm on Tuesday. Indicate Agenda Item D.1. in the subject line.

We had a great turnout in support of the ice rink at the Parks & Rec meeting on July 27th. There were 37 people in attendance, 8 public speakers, and 8 written comments were submitted. Our goal is to DOUBLE those numbers on Tuesday!

The city manager will be presenting a plan to put 5 baseball fields in the future sports park, leaving no space for the ice rink. I have presented our ice plans at 22 city and community meetings. I haven't heard anything but support for the ice rink. This idea to put only baseball fields in the sports park is literally coming out of left field.

If we don't seize the opportunity on Tuesday to SPEAK UP FOR ICE, our voices won't be heard. It's just that simple. Please don't miss this chance to communicate that the ice rink has your support!
