Signees of this petition agree that there is a public health concern of Johnson Utilities Water Treatment Center and demand actionable change from local and state representatives.

Johnson Utilities Water Treatment Facility emits hydrogen sulfide.  This has been an ongoing issue since 2012 - perhaps occurring earlier - and consistently occurs by producing a strong sewage ordor throughout communities in Florence and San Tan Valley.

This petition is designed to organize community members to express to local and state representatives to see actionable change with the Johnson Utilities Water Treatment Facility; to encourage local and state representatives to align resources including water treatment experts to make the appropriate decisions to contain the release of hydrogen sulfide by either relocating Johnson Utilities Water Treatment Facility, completely enclose the water treatment center, etc.
