The latest move by the self-proclaimed Commission on Presidential Debates -- an institution established by the Democratic and Republican Parties in order to cement their duopoly control -- is simply deplorable. If you didn't notice their late Friday afternoon announcement that they decided to exclude Gary Johnson and Jill Stein from the first debate (September 26 at Hofstra), that was by design. But #WeThePeople will not stand for a rigged debate process that excludes the two third party candidates in this election. 76% of voters in a USA Today poll want to see the leading third party candidates included. Active duty military members -- you know, the ones allegedly fighting to protect our democracy and our liberty -- prefer Gary Johnson to both Clinton and Trump. HALF of youth voters are leaning towards voting third party. So there is simply no excuse. We haven't heard a single principled reason to exclude Gary Johnson or Jill Stein because there is none. We will not stand for this anti-democratic sham debate. We desperately need to reinvigorate our republic and our "democracy" with new ideas, new visions, new voices, and more choices.
