Save Reunion Center

The Issue

Reunion Center was a proposed mixed-use development located between Walden Street to the West, and E470 to the East in Reunion, Commerce City, CO. The plan, as devised by Oakwood Homes, included a sports complex -- complete with baseball fields, water house, ice house, a library, schools, and a number of commercial properties including a hotel, restaurants and several retail units.

This proposed development is now under-fire and at risk of being abandoned by Oakwood Homes, and replaced with hundreds of single-family homes.

Many current and potential homeowners, renters, and business owners will have come to the area in part due to the promise of this wonderful community town center. Families with young children would have had the opportunity to be active and engaged in local sports, education and learning opportunities. Locally-owned restaurants and retail spaces would have brought jobs, tax revenues, and more to the local and wider area.

Help us save this wonderful project from being swallowed up by yet more houses in an already densely populated area starved of entertainment and non-fast food options.
