Happy St. Patrick's Day! Big news. Our new Pennsylvania historical marker will be unveiled on May 9, 2026. In addition to a formal dedication ceremony, we're hosting a street festival to commemorate the event!

We'll have top Irish/folk bands from the region, Pennsylvania breweries, local food & craft vendors, Irish dancers and bagpipes. Your support helped bring this initiative to life, so please come and celebrate!

If you'd like to follow along or attend:

The Kensington Riots of 1844 broke out on American Street between Master and Oxford, near the historic Nanny Goat Market, inspiring the name of our event. Despite the overwhelming tragedy, the resilient Irish community rebuilt and remained rooted in the neighborhood for generations. A legacy worth celebrating!

Hope to see you on May 9th! For questions, contact NannyGoatFest@gmail.com
