Thank you! Last Friday the Minister for City Services, Chris Steel came to my home to discuss the issue. He said that cats not being able to be walked on leashes was an unintentional consequence of current legislation. He agreed they were “contained” while on a leash and he assured me he intended to change the Domestic Animals Act 2000 this year in conjunction with developing Canberra’s new Cat Plan.
