Stop violent and graphic ads from appearing on the On-Demand selection menu
Young children are being exposed to graphic and violent content when parents select children's programming from the On-Demand menu board. While Comcast does offer parental controls for its cable channels, there is no way to block adult material while selecting shows from the On-Demand content.
Many of your most loyal viewers are families...we are writing today to ask you to please give us a way to filter out the graphic and violent content that regularly appears on the On-Demand menu board.
As a mother, I find it disturbing that in order to access child-friendly shows such as Sesame Street, The Wiggles, or Caillou, through On-Demand, I have to scroll through a menu board where adult content is being advertised. Additionally, when the show we've selected ends, we are returned to the menu board and yet again exposed to the adult content.
We are grateful to have the ability to set parental controls on the regular cable channels. Please offer us a way to turn off or filter the content that comes through on the On-Demand menu. We believe that by offering the ability for parents to choose only G-rated ads, it would increase On-Demand usage in homes with young children.
Thank you for your time, and for listening to your subscribers.
