Comcast Business is offering a new service entitled "SecurityEdge" that promotes itself as helping to prevent attacks against your network. What this service actually does is hijack your DNS. This service is incompatible with widely used security appliances like Sonicwall firewalls; our users can't even visit harmless sites like HomeDepot.com. Comcast will not tell you any of this when you sign up for this service. Comcast is aggressively pricing this service, bundling it with phone service and Internet for prices that are ~35% less than what it would cost for purchasing the same speed Internet access alone. Why are they doing this? Because SecurityEdge is a thinly disguised DNS Hijacking service that allows Comcast to monitor practically every website and server your users visit on the Internet. You are paying for security, but what Comcast is doing with your data in the shadows is anyone's guess.

If you go to remove this service, Comcast will force you to recontract at far higher prices, and threaten you with cancellation fees if you try to drop any of the bundled services you probably didn't want in the first place.
