We Seek Equity 

Our Kids deserve to play this season just like every other school throughout the state. CCS is one of the only school districts in central Ohio still not able to play even after Gov. Dewine announced that after consulting with the CDC and other medical officials that it was ok to play the upcoming fall season as long as proper guidelines are followed. Our kids and coaching staff followed all the guidelines throughout the summer in preparation for the season and is prepared to do the same for the season.

This is not just about sports for our kids. Sports is just a vehicle. They say its about safety from COVID and yes we get it but that is why guidelines are set for that. What about other safeties that sports provide????  Coaches are like extended parents and the teams are an extension of family for those kids that don't have that at home. Sports is what keeps a lot of our kids engaged in the classroom and out of the streets. As we see with all the increase in violence around our city sports are needed even more because we are losing our kids at a much more rapid pace to violence than to COVID.

The Columbus City League schools deserve the same opportunities as everyone else.
