Who can commit to the BCC meeting on December 8th? We are going to need all hands on deck if we are to stem the tide of the cabbie protectionists. Libertarians, Republicans, Democrats, NPAs, anyone who cares about this issue should be there. Make no mistake, if we do not show up, if we do not speak, if we do not get emails of support out to the Commissioners we will lose. There will be a room full of big government statists there demonizing and fearmongering about Uber. Please respond with a YES or NO so we can begin to put together a roster of attendees and speakers. We have a clear opportunity to WIN on this issue. This should be the final nail in the coffin for the vehicle for hire ordinance IF we get people out to this. I know many of us are frequently on the other side of the issue, fighting against a majority that refuses to listen, but now we are in the enviable position of fighting from the high ground. We will deregulate this industry unless we lose two votes. Rumors are that one vote is already ready to flip. This is a razor thin margin. If we lose another Commissioner to the lies and smears, then we will have lost a monumental opportunity to stand up for the free market.
