Allow Dr. James Horvath to continue lecturing

The Issue

Dr. Horvath is not only knowledgeable but also inspirational. His presentation of chemistry, although unconventional, serves the fundamental purpose of a college education: inspiring the next generation of thinkers.

An extraordinarily passionate professor, he imbued in me, a former "C" student in chemistry, a similar enthusiasm for chemistry. There is no shortage of evidence that he has similarly inspired countless students before me, and will do the same for the students after me. Barring him from lecturing at the University of Florida does only future students of chemistry a severe injustice.

We, the undersigned, hereby petition the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida to retain Dr. James Horvath as a lecturer.
