Stop The Planning Of Cocoa Beach's Bulls On The Beach!

Stop The Planning Of Cocoa Beach's Bulls On The Beach!
The Issue
Cocoa Beach, Florida is considering bringing a major bull riding event to Brevard County this November. Rodeo sports are some of the cruelest events in this country. Bulls are actually very gentle animals but are probed with bucking straps, electric prods, and spurs to hurt them into reacting with aggression.
We do NOT want this event coming to Brevard County.
On September 17th, there will be a Cocoa Beach City Meeting to discuss the safety behind this event. This meeting will result on whether or not this cruel event is approved. It is crucial that we attend this meeting to tell Cocoa Beach Commissioners that we strongly oppose this event.
We need as many activists possible to attend this meeting and fill the room. Please invite all of your friends. If you would like to speak (please do!) please fill out a speaker card.

The meeting is focused primarily on safety concerns. Make sure you hit major points of resident safety concerns, while considering the bulls. If they find enough evidence that the event is unsafe, this rodeo will not come here.
Because many can not attend this meeting, we are asking you to please sign this petition. Help us make a difference.
Please also take some time to email the Cocoa Beach Commissioners individually to voice your concerns. Their emails are as follows:
-Mayor Netterstrom, Seat 1: dnetterstrom@cityofcocoabeach.com
-Commissioner Tim Tumulty, Seat 2: ttumulty@cityofcocoabeach.com
-Commissioner Ben Malik, Seat 3: bmalik@cityofcocoabeach.com
-Commissioner Skip Williams, Seat 4: swilliams@cityofcocoabeach.com
-Commissioner Mike Miller, Seat 5: m.miller@cityofcocoabeach.com
Thank you for standing for the animals.
