I've sent emails to Coca-Cola regarding the petition with over 50 signatures to reinstate the sugar on their products, they have reach back to my e-mails and this is what they had to say regarding the use of HFCS.
Reply 1: High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a type of sweetener. It’s made from corn and is similar to regular table sugar. HFCS has about the same calories as sugar. Like sugar, HFCS is fine in moderation, but too much of it isn’t good for anyone. Like all food and beverages, soft drinks containing HFCS can be consumed as part of a balanced lifestyle as long as people don’t consume them to excess. HFCS is used to sweeten many of our products in North America. We generally use HFCS in places where corn is abundant and HFCS is therefore more widely available. In places where sugarcane or sugar beet is more widely available, we tend to use cane or beet sugar. Other factors include ensuring that we are able to make the drinks people love at affordable prices"-Joshua Coca Cola Employee

I generally understand that Coca-Cola uses what they have depending on the region, but when you look at brands like Pepsi, Crush, Dr Pepper etc. They have sodas made with real sugar that you can buy separately. If the other brands can make a real sugar variant of their sodas, then Coca-Cola you can't tell me otherwise.
If we want this petition to succeed and eventually put pressure on Coca Cola to make a variant with real sugar, please sign and share the petition along with contacting Coca Cola via Email.
