OK...last posting for a while...we all know of our wonderful Camp grounds adjacent to adorning sandy beach, right on the waters of Lake Ontario, where you can camp in any thing from a tent to a huge Motor Home & every thing in between...there's always been talk among the older, wiser members of cabins long before the camp grounds, cabins you could rent for that much needed holiday, at some point there may have been a combination of both cabins & camping, yesteryear members will know...so here is an advertising from way back, promoting the rentals of these cabins only steps away from the refreshing waters of Lake Ontario...from The Collection of Carl Bevan

Alan Gray I REMEMBER THESE COTTAGES 70 YRS AGO THE LAKE WAS SO HIGH IN THE SPRING THEY BE FLOODED BY THE Darcy Lake

Linda Wong Thanks Carl and Kor, I have asked about the cabins many times. I only really remember two right off Division and almost on the beach. Ralph Curtis thought Mr. Lavis used them for his blocks of ice in the winter. My memory of them go back to 52-53

Pat Marshall Lafferty  My mother and my aunt Winnie Robison used to clean the cabins in the Spring for the people who were renting...all of us kids used to have a great time playing in them before they were cleaned...good memories!

Pamela L. Gall Great picture, the cottages where done up so nice & the Beach front looks fantastic. The trailers look nice too & people look after them. Like these rather than a condo like to see the Park stay it is for the people to enjoy.
