Dear members,

 

At the recent Spring OMA Council the following motion was presented and carried:

“That the OMA urge the CMA to use the proceeds of MD Management sale by CMA to Scotiabank Financial ($2.585 billion) to establish a Canadian National Physician Pension Plan”.

 

The motion received almost unanimous support.

 

We have learned that the CMA has begun preliminary work to look at a possible pension fund based on the petition results to date and I encourage members to review the link below and sign the petition to lend their support to this endeavor.
