Minutes after swearing in, the first announcement that the new government of Maharashtra made was building a car shed in Aarey.  There are many more pressing issues which need to be addressed in Maharashtra like improving education, sanitation, health, tourism, environment, sports, culture, etc. But the new government chose destroying the only surviving urban Aarey forest as its first priority.

We had declared victory on the petition when MVA government took the decision to relocate metro car shed from Aarey to Kanjurmarg. But with the change of power came the change of intent. Our city's green lungs are once again under the threat with a polluting car shed within its premises. 

Hence, I am reopening the petition & requesting all those who had supported the fight to save Aarey forest to join and support this movement once again.
