Naushacha Pada finally got electricity on 30th June 2019. I sincerely thank each one of you who supported my endeavour to light up lives. It took less than a year for the petition to bear results, my petition, in a way, enabled the Adivasi Community of Aarey Forest, to unite and demand their rights. It ensured that the authorities grant the NO Objection Letter and thus Naushacha Pada in Aarey Forest, touching the Western Express Highway, In Mumbai, finally got electricity for the first time after Indian Independence. They waited 72 years for this . It is a Happy Moment for the community and for me.
