3 june 2019 was a very happy day for the village folk of Naushacha Pada in #AareyForest.
You can see from the visuals how happy the community is.
This village, a stone's throw from the HUB Mall, off the Western Express Highway Goregaon Mumbai, finally got their NOC for official electric connections.
Their land was taken over in the 1970's by the government Bombay Veteniary College and yet till today they have no electricity.
An additional water connection was also granted.
Currently there is just one tap for 80 families.

Every effort counted towards the community getting stronger and coming out on 28May to demand their rights.We have achieved a victory of sorts today
However our work is still not done!
Adani Electricity has given each household an estimate of Rs11,000/- to execute the complete work. There are 65 households in the village, the community is working on ways to get around this new hurdle
