However, we believe the experiences of Cloverdale residents warrant careful documentation, scientific evaluation, and an investigation where the evidence supports one.

What We Are Asking

Through this petition, we respectfully request that Wisner Baum consider helping the Cloverdale community evaluate these concerns and determine whether a more extensive investigation is warranted.

We are seeking support for the following:

Documenting Cancer Diagnoses: Helping establish a confidential process for residents, former residents, and families of deceased residents to report cancer diagnoses associated with time spent living in Cloverdale.
Examining Potential Patterns: Reviewing available information to determine whether particular cancer types, neighborhoods, periods of residence, or other shared circumstances warrant further examination.
Investigating Possible Environmental Exposures: Where supported by evidence, examining potential concerns involving drinking water, soil, air quality, historical industrial activity, agricultural chemicals, or other environmental exposures.
Seeking Independent Scientific Evaluation: Encouraging appropriate public health agencies, environmental specialists, and qualified researchers to determine whether cancer rates are elevated compared with expected rates for the community.
Providing Transparency and Accountability: Helping affected families understand what information is available, what questions remain unanswered, and what steps may be necessary to protect public health.

We are asking for the opportunity to find out.
